Stop. Relieve Stress. Stretch.

Ever notice that, especially working from a desk, daily stress can build up on you? Happens to everyone. So, what can you do about it?
Stop
That's the first thing. Really. Just stop. Stop whatever it is you're doing, even if it's urgent (but, not life-threatening). Just stop doing anything for a few moments.
Most of the time, because we feel this urgency to get something done, we stress so much about whatever we're doing that we actually lose focus of the very thing that requires "so much" focus! Sounds silly, huh? Think about it: you're pounding away at your keyboard as a programming engineer. You're in the middle of a piece of majour coding when you think too far ahead of yourself because you're worried about incorporating a specific feature that your project manager has insisted be in the final work. Whoops! You accidentally inserted an escape character and, unknowingly, you have just ruined every shred of code you have populated the work with in the past three hours.
Painful. I know.

You Are Beautiful!

You are a beautiful treasure -- loved a lot more than you know. More special than you can imagine. Many of us go through life wondering "why am I here?", or somesuch nebulous thought, and we often arrive at some "inescapable" conclusion that we're not here for anything special, just to go through the motions of life until it comes to an end. I'm here to tell you: THAT-SIMPLY-IS-NOT-TRUE!That's a lie so oft spoken, and so oft believed that it seems, truly, inescapable. You are fearfully, wonderfully made! You are beautiful! This is not an exercise in vanity, as some of the "pious elite" would tell you! It is the very statement of God! Look at the wonderfulness around you realize that you see it with eyes made perfectly to capture the moment! Listen to the sounds around you, even the cacophony of the busy city, and know that your ears are shaped so to majestically focus the sounds into something coherent for your marvelous brain to understand! Walk in the garden, or your own backyard, and give thanks that you are able to move in such a fashion! Touch a friend or loved one on the shoulder, and sing praises that you can feel understand tenderness!See? You ARE beautiful!Consider George Bailey -- yes, the guy from "It's A Wonderful Life"

What're you?? Stupid?!

What am I talking about? Well, the simple fact that this website isn't spattered with Google AdSense; none of my links, whether in an article or in the Links section, are affiliate links that could be earning me money per click; and I'm not selling ad space anywhere on this site (yet).

Well, maybe I am. Stupid, that is...

Folks are losing their identity all the time, and I'm not just referring to the amalgam/melting pot effect -- I'm talking about ID theft. I've just subscribed to, and I recommend you do, too, the LifeLock services offered at LifeLock.com (http://www.lifelock.com)!
